The Advantage Group has appointed Christopher Nuzzi as vice president of Advantage Title to lead client services in the five towns of Long Island's East End - Riverhead, Southampton, Southold, Shelter Island and East Hampton.
The appointment marks a continued commitment to Advantage Title's expansion of commercial and residential real estate services across the Hamptons, Shelter Island and the North Fork.
"Chris Nuzzi has deep local knowledge and an understanding of the complexities inherent to East End real estate transactions. Combined with Advantage's track record and substantial resources, we welcome the opportunity to deliver unparalleled title services to the attorneys, developers, buyers and lenders on the East End," said Joseph Willen, president and CEO, The Advantage Group.
"Our goal is to be a resource that enables our clients to make their property investments confidently. As the price of real estate here continues to rise, so does deal complexity and the need for secure financial risk. Advantage Title's in-house legal counsel, a team of five, has the knowledge, experience and underwriting relationships our clients require for their transactions," said Nuzzi.
Nuzzi's passion for public service began in 1996 when he started working for the Suffolk County Executive's Office. Having recently finished his second term as a member of the Southampton Town Board, and combined with his experience in the title insurance industry since 2007, he is familiar with land use practices and the laws that govern them.
Nuzzi is also knowledgeable about the area's environmental and preservation needs, zoning regulations and landmark real estate transfers. The life-long South Fork resident balances a deep appreciation for the area's quality of life while being sensitive to the challenges businesses face.
"I joined Advantage Title because of its strong reputation for client service. It is a highly respected, top-notch organization with Long Island roots. It is large enough to handle highly valued and complex transactions while giving the personal attention critical to each client transaction," said Nuzzi.
Founded on Long Island in 1987, with an East End office in Riverhead, local notable transactions include the purchases of a $31 million residence in Southampton, a $20 million mixed-use commercial leasehold in Westhampton and the recordation of the largest conservation easement in Long Island's history on the North Fork. The firm also participates in significant New York City and multi-state transactions.
Nuzzi, who earned a master's degree in Public Policy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, was born and raised in East Hampton and resides with his family in Westhampton Beach.
