Ariel Property Advisors hosts Brooklyn Chamber event in Coney Island
July 1, 2014 - Brokerage
The staff of Ariel Property Advisors networked with South Brooklyn businesses and promoted properties the firm is selling throughout the borough while hosting the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s Real Estate & Development (RED) Nite at a recent Brooklyn Cyclones game in MCU Park.
“Tonight we’re here because we believe in Coney Island and believe in its future,†said Michael A. Tortorici, vice president.
He noted that the last time Ariel Property Advisors hosted a Brooklyn Chamber RED Nite it was a few days after Hurricane Sandy hit. “The event we had originally planned as a real estate networking event quickly turned into a RED Nite for Hurricane Relief and within hours we raised $12,000 for the Brooklyn Community Foundation’s Recovery Fund,†Mr. Tortorici said. “It’s wonderful to be here tonight to see how Coney Island is thriving 20 months after the storm.â€
Carlo Scissura, president and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, shared the business community’s vision for Coney Island, while Johanna Zaki, executive director of the Alliance for Coney Island, discussed the commitment the city has made to infrastructure improvements that will allow for additional development.
The Brooklyn Chamber's Real Estate & Development Committee organizes a series of RED events through the year to support and promote real estate and development initiatives across the borough, including RED Nites that are fun and informational after-hours networking events for real estate professionals held in emerging neighborhoods and commercial districts.
