Rieger of H2M recognized at Long Island "30 under 30" event

Kathryn Rieger of H2M architects + engineers has been recognized as one of Long Island's Top 30 professionals under 30 years old. The event, Celebrate Long Island's Young Professionals 2014, was held by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce on May 6th, at the Crescent Beach Club. It honors young professionals who have dedicated their efforts to achieving remarkable success on Long Island. The honorees are recognized as those who are committed to both their business and civic communities. "I'm honored and thankful to be a '30 Under 30' recipient and I'm excited to see what the future holds as a young professional at H2M," Rieger said. Rieger, 24, an accounting project manager with H2M, has been with the firm for over two years. In her time, she has taken on the responsibility of processing payroll and managing accounts payable and receivable. For the last decade, Rieger and her family have worked with the Guide Dog Foundation. The foundation's mission is to improve quality of life for the deaf, blind and those with special needs, providing guide dogs and guide dog training free of charge. In working with the foundation, Rieger and her family have bred 12 Labrador Retriever litters in their family home, spending a bulk of their time preparing the puppies for their first years in dog training with the foundation. She is also a member of the Moxxie Network, a woman's networking organization that supports and mentors the career advancement of young professional women in the business world. Network members are able to share resources, connections and experiences with one another to promote their respective career development. She holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Providence College.
