According to Manhattan-based commercial real estate owner Hidrock Realty, Michael Powlen has joined the firm as asset manager and Kevin Leung has been hired as an acquisitions and development analyst, both newly created positions.
Powlen is responsible for overseeing the budgets, forecasts and capital expenses for Hidrock's two recently-opened hotels in Manhattan, as well as the recently acquired Hilton Meadowlands in New Jersey.
Leung reports directly to Hidrock's director of underwriting to analyze and underwrite new hotel, office, residential and retail investments.
"We created these positions to help us manage our properties and make sound investment decisions as we continue to grow our portfolio," said Abraham Hidary, principal of Hidrock Realty. "Both Michael and Kevin have extensive experience in their respective fields and will be invaluable to us as we look to become an even bigger force in New York."
