Nordstrom, Inc. has leased the entire 15th floor of 205 West 39th Street for office use, according to Dana Moskowitz, president of EVO Real Estate Group, the property's leasing and managing agent. Nordstrom will move into the space, which contains 13,000 s/f, in June. Mitchell Cooperstock of EVO represented the landlord in the lease negotiations, and Michael Leifer of Millennium Realty Group represented the tenant. "Nordstrom was attracted to the convenient Garment District location, as well as the solid roster of tenants in the building," said Cooperstock. "Additionally, the flexible floor plan worked well for Nordstrom's layout." Nordstrom, Inc. is one of the leading fashion specialty retailers based in the U.S. Founded in 1901 as a shoe store in Seattle, today Nordstrom operates 260 stores in 35 states, including 117 full-line stores, 140 Nordstrom Racks, two Jeffrey boutiques and one clearance store. Nordstrom also serves customers through Nordstrom.com and in the online private sale marketplace, HauteLook.
