Bergman of Muss Development brokers two leases - 17,500 s/f
March 24, 2014 - Brokerage
Muss Development LLC has arranged a 13,500 s/f renewal for CVS Pharmacy and a 4,000 s/f lease for new restaurant "The Boulevard" at the Francis Lewis Blvd. Shopping Center in the Whitestone section. The deals totaled 17,500 s/f. The retail center is owned and operated by Muss Development.
Muss was represented in-house by Bill Bergman, in both the CVS and "The Boulevard" restaurant deals.
"The Boulevard" will open by the end of March, featuring American cuisine with an Italian twist. The family-friendly restaurant, with a full-service bar and high-definition TVs, is headed by Greg Massa, a local industry veteran who oversaw operations at Parkside Restaurant in Corona.
CVS Pharmacy — the largest pharmacy chain in the United States, with more than 7,400 stores — has occupied its Francis Lewis Blvd. space since 2002 and maintains its commitment to the neighborhood with this long-term renewal.
"Located on a main street in close proximity to the Cross Island Pwy., Francis Lewis Blvd. Shopping Center is easily accessible and a prime location for retail," said Muss Development principal Jason Muss.
"CVS has been very successful at this location and the addition of 'The Boulevard' is another sign of the area's continued popularity."
Muss will also look to upgrade tenancy at the shopping center as a 4,000 s/f parcel adjacent to CVS Pharmacy becomes available for lease in the second quarter.
Other tenants at the Francis Lewis Boulevard Shopping Center include McDonalds, First Savings Bank, Kumon, and Aphrodite Sweets.
