Song joins Urban Compass as head of research and external affairs

According to technology-driven real estate company Urban Compass, Sofia Song has joined the company as head of research and external affairs. Song is a New York City real estate industry veteran formerly with listings website StreetEasy. She is the latest high profile hire to join Urban Compass, following the recent addition of twelve top agents and the company's expansion into sales.

As head of research & external affairs, Song will be charged with leveraging Urban Compass's unique proprietary and rich data to provide market insights for customers and agents alike, as well managing the company's overall media strategy and relationships.
Prior to joining Urban Compass, Song was head of research and communications for StreetEasy for six years, where she was a leading voice on the New York City residential real estate market. In this position, she expanded the site's focus on real estate analytics, managed media relations and was the public face of the company.
Following their recent expansion into sales, Urban Compass' team now includes agents from Citi Habitats, Brown Harris Stevens, Town, Corcoran, Halstead and Nest Seekers.
