What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2013? With the crazy pace and the rigors that this business and industry requires and puts us all through I consider it a professional accomplishment that we have the intestinal fortitude to not only survive but achieve a 3rd straight year of over 20% growth and continue to provide "Best in class" engineering services and give our clients good cost effective designs at a great value. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2013? I would have to say that my most notable deal is the reposition of the 5 building parcel in Downtown Brooklyn known as The Watchtower Complex. We are taking 5 buildings that are each between 80 and 100 years old that were primarily warehouse and light manufacturing with no modern infrastructure and bringing them into the 21st Century to accommodate today's technology savvy companies. It's really going to make a statement and will bring life to a very barren area of Brooklyn. What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2014? From what have seen and heard all indications are that 2014 should be a continuation of the growth and activity that we have seen in 2013. I believe the commercial office market will continue to grow and the development of new hi rise residential and commercial building will still be in high demand. What are your resolutions for 2014? 2014 is a big year for me as I'll be turning 50 in March. So the biggest and most important resolution for me is to make sure I live life to the fullest and make sure I have fun and don't sweat the small stuff. Carpe Diem!!
