In an exciting move that leverages its proven business model to address targeted market opportunities, tw telecom, one of the leading national providers of managed services, including business ethernet, converged and IP VPN solutions for enterprises in Manhattan and throughout the US, revealed a multi-market expansion. Starting in early 2014, the company will extend its metro fiber network to five new high-demand markets and accelerate the density of its metro-fiber footprint in 27 of its existing markets, including Manhattan.
tw telecom expects to leverage this market expansion to further deploy its industry-leading portfolio of data and Internet services to more enterprises, including its innovative ethernet and intelligent network services.
The company will further extend its innovative capabilities and services to more customer locations to further support its enterprise, data center and cloud connectivity with five new markets: Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Richmond, and Salt Lake City.
tw telecom will also increase its market reach and network density in more than a third of its existing markets that include the Greater New York City metro area.
"As we head into 2014, we greatly look forward to the opportunities that our expanded fiber infrastructure will bring to our existing customers and prospects here in and around Manhattan," said Robert Bianco, VP and general manager for tw telecom Manhattan. "And as we expand our services, naturally we will expand our sales force, bringing on new talent that will make our existing team that much more dynamic."
The metro market expansion will increase tw telecom's overall regional fiber footprint by 17%, providing greater capacity, increased network control and cost-effective connectivity.
