To find out additional information or to sign up for these courses please go to www.ccim.com or call CCIM customer service at 800-621-7027 A reminder to current designees that these course offerings you can attend at a reduced cost (Life after the Pin). Many designees retake these courses as refreshment and to become more knowledgeable about the changes that have taken place since they received their pin.
We are currently working on two more Intro classes-one in Ithaca and the second one in Jamestown. Details will be available on the chapter website which can be viewed by going to www.ccim.com and then linking to chapter website. If anyone has a suggestion on where a course should be offered please contact me.
On April 16 and 17 we will again co-sponsor the 2-day marketing event in Fishkill, N.Y.
On April 30th we will be offering a 1-day class at the Holiday Inn - Latham, N.Y which will cover "Lease vs. Own." We are in the process of getting this approved by the state for 7.5 hours of continuing education credit. This class will be free for members of the chapter and $150 for non-members. Because of the content we have a prerequisite of having taken CI 101 and attendees will also need a laptop.
In 2008, the chapter will again be a co-sponsor of the popular Turning Stone Commercial Real Estate Conference located in Verona, N.Y. Dates have been set for June 16 - 18, 2008. Please make every effort to attend this networking, marketing, and educational event.
The institute is making several changes to the chapter website and as more options and tools become available we will forward you that information. Please check the website and make sure your information is current. For non-designees that lack a picture, please forward one to
[email protected] and we will insert it into your profile.
2008 promises to be another year of growth for our chapter. I will be working with the directors from the different areas of New York to try to set up some localized events. If anyone would like to get involved please feel free to call or send an email. Together we have the opportunity to make this a strong, productive chapter.
I can be reached via email at
