The Staubach Co.'s N.Y. office recently assisted BNP Paribas in subleasing nearly 24,000 s/f of space at 51 West 52nd St. to Allianz Global Investors.
Allianz, a financial services firm, will take possession of the entire 36th floor of the building, owned by CBS/Viacom. The company realized a need to expand from its current headquarters located across the street at 1345 Avenue of the Americas, which was fully leased.
BNP previously acquired the space through acquisition and will lease it to Allianz for the next three-years. BNP plans to regain possession in 2011, when the company will itself have a need for more space due to growth.
Bill Peters, managing director with The Staubach Co. led negotiations for BNP Paribas. He was assisted by Jordan Berger, a director with Staubach.
