Karson and MacDonnell named managing directors

According to Steven Kohn, president and principal of Cushman & Wakefield Sonnenblick Goldman, Dave Karson and Daniel MacDonnell have been promoted to managing directors. As a managing director at the firm's New York headquarters, Karson is responsible for origination and execution of equity and debt financing, as well as for the evaluation and implementation of various capital markets strategies. Karson previously held the title of director at the firm. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Karson was a principal at Meridian Equities. Based in the firm's San Francisco office, MacDonnell is responsible for expanding the firm's western region business. This includes the arrangement of project debt and equity financing for all types of commercial real estate and hospitality assets, programmatic joint ventures and investment funds. MacDonnell previously served as a director. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, he spent 15 years at Lehman Brothers Investment Banking Group.
