Monroe Roadways breaks ground for 150,000 s/f, 4,150-seat arena on RIT campus

Monroe Roadways, a leading site construction expert, was awarded the contract for site construction services of the new 150,000 s/f, 4,150-seat arena on the south side of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) campus, located at 1 Lomb Memorial Dr. Monroe partnered with Rochester-based LeChase Construction Services to build the new athletic venue and multi-purpose facility. Construction is underway with an opening anticipated for the Division I men's and women's hockey team's 2014-2015 seasons.

The Gene Polisseni Center looks to become LEED(r) certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, and will provide modern amenities for a growing number of Tiger fans supporting the successful Division I program. The Tiger's current home - The Frank Ritter Arena - will continue to operate as a training and recreational venue.
