Meet the BMAR Member: Jim Slattery

Jim Slattery of Original Energy, spent nearly 25 years in the Energy Service industry. Slattery joined Original right out of college. During his eight years with the company Slattery worked closely with the principles David & Saul Singer to build one of the largest fuel service oil companies in this city. As sales manager Slattery developed strong relationships with all his clients. After Original merged into Stuyvesant Slattery soon became vice president. As vice president he continued to innovate the oil industry by introducing fixed and capped price programs for his customers. Slattery has lead the industry with integrity and a high standard of business practices, by introducing fuel gauge monitoring systems, strict delivery procedures, and transparent index pricing. In 2010 after years of discussion he returned with the Singer family once again to bring Original Energy back to the 5 boroughs. Slattery is the past recipient of the Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors (BMAR) prestigious "Affiliate Member of the Year" award and is the co-founder and chairman of the Board's Trade Show Committee. His membership and affiliation with Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors (BMAR) throughout his career has been priceless. Currently, Jim and his wife Donna are busy raising their two children Sean (age 20 a sophomore at USMMA at Kings Point) and Lauren (age 14 a freshman at Massapequa High School) in the town of Massapequa, Long Island. Jim is very active with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Community Mainstreaming Associates, Inc (CMA) and Project to Cure (PTC) . He is also a youth coach and a High School Lacrosse Official.
