Colliers International has arranged a ten-year, 11,000 s/f renewal on behalf of EcoHealth Alliance for its headquarters space on the 17th floor of 460 West 34th St., in the Hudson Yards District. EcoHealth Alliance is a global, nonprofit environmental health organization dedicated to protecting wildlife and safeguarding human health from the emergence of disease. The organization develops ways to combat the effects of damaged ecosystems on human and wildlife health. "EcoHealth loves the building and the neighborhood, especially as the Hudson Yards District continues to emerge as one of the most exciting new areas in Manhattan," said James Emden, vice chairman, Colliers International, who along with colleague Melinda Fishman represented the tenant in the transaction. "We explored relocation options, but the Kaufman Organization has been a tremendous partner. Signing an early renewal for the existing space was the most desirable option." Built in 1927, 460 West 34th St. is a 19-story, 538,520 s/f property located between 9th Ave. and 10th Ave. The building will have easy access to the new 7 line subway station upon its completion, and is within easy walking distance to the Port Authority. Edward Hart, of the Kaufman Organization, represented the landlord internally in the EcoHealth renewal transaction.
