James Nelson, partner at Massey Knakal Realty Services was the keynote speaker at the September 25th luncheon of the Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). The topic was "The State of the New York City Real Estate Market." Nelson said, "The recovery in the property sales market continues to out pace the recovery in the broader economy and is, in fact, performing better than the recovery in commercial real estate's underlying fundamentals would dictate." The chapter's next event is "Ethics for the Real Estate Manager" (ETH800) on October 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be held at RY Management Co. Inc., 1619 Second Ave. (90th St. between 2nd & 3rd Aves.) Tuition is for $185 members and $230 for non-members. This course is approved in New York State for five continuing education credit hours.
