Batista of Sabre arranges 3,000 s/f lease to Denny's in Brooklyn
September 23, 2013 - Brokerage
Denny's, which calls itself "America's Diner," has leased space for its first store in the N.Y.C. outer boroughs. Sabre Real Estate Group LLC, the New York metropolitan area's newest retail brokerage firm, arranged the deal.
The always-open chain leased the former Galaxy Diner at 805 Pennsylvania Ave., between Linden Blvd. and Stanley Ave. in the East New York section.
"This is a great location for Denny's. It's a rare opportunity to find a freestanding former restaurant building with parking in such a dense neighborhood in Brooklyn," said Greg Batista, a director at Sabre, Denny's exclusive real estate broker for N.Y.C. and Long Island. He represented Denny's and the landlord, Renaissance Realty Group.
The 3,000 s/f freestanding building has parking for 20 cars. The Spartanburg, S.C.-based chain expects to open the new restaurant, which will seat about 125 patrons, by January 1st.
Sabre is seeking other locations for Denny's in Manhattan, the Outer Boroughs and on Long Island.
Denny's is one of America's largest full-service family restaurant chains, currently operating more than 1,680 franchised, licensed and company-owned restaurants across the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, Guam, Puerto Rico and New Zealand.
