Brandt joins Argo Residential as director of sales

September 23, 2013 - Brokerage
Real estate sales and marketing specialist Barry Brandt joins Argo Residential as director of sales for the company's brokerage division. With a long track record of success as both a broker and marketing consultant, Brandt will use his knowledge and experience to further embed Argo Residential's industry footprint and expand its neighborhood and market expertise. A fourth-generation New Yorker, Brandt boasts over 20 years of experience in the field. In his current role he oversees a team of experienced sales professionals at Argo Residential. Parent company, Argo Real Estate, owns and manages more than 5,000 apartments and serves as third party manager of an additional 6,500 units in the New York metropolitan area. Brandt is building upon the company's strong presence in the Upper West Side while expanding its brokerage outreach to other Manhattan neighborhoods. This, Brandt says, will be accomplished while simultaneously increasing his roster of agents. "Barry possesses the skills and qualities we've been searching for," said Mark Moskowitz, CEO of Argo Real Estate. "Not only does he understand the industry, but he's an excellent leader with an innate understanding of how to grow a team and a division efficiently and strategically. With growth being our main objective, he was our ideal candidate." Over the course of his career, Brandt has worked on projects developed by such industry luminaries as Larry Silverstein, Harry Macklowe, Hal Fetner, Laurie Zucker, Joe Moinian and the Albanese family. Prior to joining Argo, Brandt most recently served as the director of leasing for Stonehenge Management where he oversaw a luxury rental portfolio that included The Ritz Plaza, The Olivia, 20 Park Ave., 41 Park Ave. and 8 Gramercy. "I connected with Argo and its values immediately," said Brandt. "Its agents, and the company as a whole, are staunchly committed to honesty and integrity, which has enabled them to form many long-lasting relationships. Many companies say that they work this way, but few actually do. Having the chance to help build and shape an organization founded upon these tenets is a rare and exciting opportunity." Brandt received his bachelors of arts in Economics and Urban Planning from Columbia University. He is a New York licensed real estate broker, Florida licensed real estate sales associate and California licensed real estate salesperson. A native Manhattanite, Brandt currently lives on the Upper East Side.
