Retail power broker Kim Mogull, founder and CEO of Mogull Realty, closed a mega deal August 10th at East Hampton Point when she married BlackBerry chief marketing officer Frank Boulben, as the sun shined and clouds parted for a spectacular sunset over the bay. Boulben has more than 20 years of international experience in the wireless industry with executive global roles at Vodafone and Orange.
Mogull was notorious among family, friends and clients for being a runaway bride. Her guests stood up and cheered when she strutted down the isle to Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" in a plunging, Anne Bowen lace dress with a string of Jeri Cohen diamonds down her back. Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian, Brookfield CEO Mitch Rudin, CEO of The One Group/STK Jonathan Segal, legendary nightlife producer Susanne Bartsch, David Barton, former DOT commissioner Lou Riccio, Donald Trump's right hand Rhona Graff and his former general counsel Bernard Diamond were among those on their feet clapping at Mogull's entrance.
Later, David Barton, who helped Mogull choose her dress just a week prior, hoisted her off her feet in a congratulatory hug. "Bridesmaid" and Hampton's developer Michael Newmark and artist Dinorah Delfin unveiled and presented the couple with a life size pixelated portrait of Mogull, who laughed that she'd have to sell it to pay for the elegant waterfront wedding.
The menu and wine pairings were selected by Geoffrey Zakarian along with EHP's executive chef James Carpenter who was just recently brought over from the American Hotel. Every guest received leather jewelry cases from Mogull client, Aspinal of London.
DJ Lily of the Valley warmed up the dance floor for world renown pianist/entertainer Barry Colson who rocked the house until 3AM - just as he did when he met the couple while performing in Davos at The World Economic Forum.
