Design / Build
"How can space support those critical meetings and interviews that mark the beginning of a student's career?" This is the question Spacesmith asked as they embarked on the design of a new home for St. John University's career services department. The main purpose: to instill knowledge and confidence into its users. Centrally located in a hexagonal shaped building with a 360 degree view, the space was designed to function as a stage for prospective employees and a welcome mat for potential employers.
The department visually represents the school in a professional manner to reflect the quality of its graduates.
The most important element is the centrally located modular conference room with a large skylight that allows natural light to penetrate the space.
