Rockland Economic Development Corporation's Procurement Technical Assistance Center (REDC's PTAC) encourages businesses to attend its free Program on Thursday, September 12 - Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Services. Co-hosted by Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. (O&R), attendees will find out how things really work during and after a disaster and what vendors need to do to be prepared and considered for disaster relief projects, including: * Health & Safety Plan Training, presented by Jill Asch, ConEd Expert; * How to Prepare Your Company's Infrastructure So You Can Conduct Business During a Disaster, presented by Michael Murphy, president, VirtuIT Systems. Topics include: Business continuity planning, communications plan, communication access, remote internet access, computer backup, functionality plan; * Required Government Registrations, Tips & Resources, presented by Liz Kallen, PTAC program manager; * Panel Discussion: Providing valuable key insights, panelists include: Paul Brennan, Rockland County purchasing director; Jim Politi, administrator, Village of Nyack; Chris Jensen, Rockland County Office of Fire & Emergency Services, and Ed Verbraak, O&R Emergency Management.
