RKF has arranged a 1,000 s/f lease at 267 Bleecker St. in the West Village for British candy and coffee retailer The London Candy Co. Located between Cornelia and Jones Sts., 267 Bleecker will replace The London Candy Co. store previously located at 1442 Lexington Ave. at East 94th St.
Local residents and tourists will be able to purchase both candy and Stumptown brand coffee at the store.
RKF senior director Andrew Connolly and associate Justin Fantasia represented The London Candy Co.
Located in the West Village food district, 267 Bleecker is a Federal style brick building that was constructed in 1835. It has gone through several rounds of renovations, and now stands three stories tall with 5,750 combined s/f of retail and residential space.
A jewelry store called So Good Jewelry also leases a portion of the building's 1,920 total s/f of retail.
"The London Candy Co. is moving to a location where they will benefit from significantly enhanced foot traffic," said Fantasia. "They'll enjoy increased brand exposure to a wide variety of potential customers."
Since 2011, The London Candy Co., led by Jignesh "Jigs" Patel, has been serving up English classics like approved by-the-Queen Cadbury's chocolates and treats from Thornton's, Nestlé's, Terry's, Mars with Rowntree's Wine Gums as well as boiled sweets.
