Jay Ratto was honored as Associate of the Year by the Long Island Builders Institute (LIBI), one of New York State's largest homebuilders organizations.
Ratto, president and owner of Calverton-based J. Ratto Landscaping, Ltd., was honored for his work as associate vice president of the group and for his work as co-chair of the organization's annual trade expo and chair of its annual golf outing committee. He is also secretary of Long Island Home Builders Care Development Corp., a charitable arm of LIBI, which builds homes for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans through its "Building Homes for Returning Veterans" program. He supplied landscaping and design for homes built under the program in Sound Beach and Lake Ronkonkoma
Ratto was honored at LIBI's 72nd annual black tie dinner dance on May 10 at the Woodbury County Club.
The LIBI is a non-profit trade organization serving Long Island's homebuilders, remodelers and allied trades. It is the largest homebuilding organization in New York State, representing more than 450 corporate members. Its charitable arms include Long Island Home Builders Care, Inc., and Long Island Homebuilders Care Development Corp., which through its "Building New Homes for Returning Veterans" program constructs new homes for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.
