Colliers International has arranged a 44,010 s/f lease renewal for Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) at 257 Park Ave. South, also known as the Gramercy Park Building.
"EDF is dedicated to providing a first-class, environmentally friendly center of operations for its employees and its partners," said Alan Desino, an executive managing director with Colliers International, who arranged the renewal on behalf of the tenant.
Built in 1912 and located at the corner of East 21st St., 257 Park Avenue South is a 20-story, 226,000 s/f Art Deco building. Nearby sites and attractions include the Old Town Bar and Restaurant, Pete's Tavern, Shake Shack, Baruch College, Gramercy Park Hotel, the Metropolitan Life Insurance Tower, the Flatiron Building, and the Cabrini Medical Center, as well as Gramercy Park, Union Square Park, and Madison Square Park.
The buildings owner, The Feil Organization, was represented in-house by Robert Fisher.
