Ms. McCann has over 14 years of experience in both the public and private sector. She is a board member of Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI) and member of many business and professional organizations including the New York Chapter Legal Marketing Association (LMA), Direct Marketing Association of Long Island (DMALI) and several Long Island real estate groups including USGBC LI; CIBS; LIBI and Vision LI. Ms. McCann holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Queens College and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University. What is the BEST advice you have ever received? Be RESPONSIVE and ACCOUNTABLE. I want to begin by stating how fortunate I was to have an exceptional boss early in my career with a management style to which I gravitated. She taught me by example the importance of strategizing with timelines, deliverables and accountability. When a request or inquiry comes in, I respond to acknowledge receipt immediately, thus making myself accountable. It can be unsettling when one feels their request is out there in a voicemail or cyberspace unanswered. It is surprising how many professionals don't employ similar tactics to advance their careers. Personal attention is a quality of my strategy in dealing with clients as it is a hallmark of the Firm's policy towards clients.
