Jennifer McLean, chief financial officer at GFI Capital Resources Group, has been appointed to Virginia Tech's Property Management Advisory Board. The panel provides essential curriculum input, financial resources, in class guest lectures, field trip and internship sites, and is responsible for promoting the school's residential property management program.
"I am honored to be a member of a board that has such an impact on the future of the real estate industry," said McLean. "Virginia Tech was one of the first universities in the country to offer a real estate program and the very first to offer a degree in property management. Many graduates of this long respected program will work for the nation's top real estate companies and all will have jobs upon graduation. I'm excited to play a role in helping such an influential board reach its fullest potential."
Most recently, the Property Management Advisory Board presented students in excess of $30,000 in scholarships at an awards presentation. The board also sponsors students at conferences including The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and National Apartment Association (NAA).
