Long Island
How did you get your start in real estate?
My career in real estate began in the late '70s when I went to work for my father as a real estate sales person in Monticello, New York. At the time I was a district sales manager of a large cosmetics company. My father who always had a sixth sense about people told me that I was very good at sales and that I should really be working with him. It took a little prodding but once he finally convinced me to give it a try I found the business to be exciting and very rewarding and I have not looked back since. I credit my father with being my mentor and giving me the early training that helped shape my career to this day.
I made the switch to title insurance 20 years ago and today I service attorneys, bankers, and builders throughout Long Island and the five boroughs in the areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions. It's been a great career, and whenever I look back I am always thankful to my Dad for his encouragement.
