McGuire Development Company, Inc., a commercial development, brokerage and property management firm, has appointed Michelle Mazzone as chief operating officer for its real estate services group.
In this capacity, Mazzone will assume responsibility for the company's real estate sales operations including direct oversight and management of the operations and significant components of the division's infrastructure. She will also ensure efficient coordination of duties in achieving the company's goals.

Mazzone brings more than 20 years of senior management experience with diverse involvement in the public and private sectors. She was most recently employed as senior vice president and chief operating officer at American Realty Group. Prior to this, she served as a senior cabinet member during former county executive Chris Collins' administration. Mazzone was also a vice president at Ciminelli companies where she spent ten years. In the early 1990s she worked for the City of Buffalo's economic development agency under the administrations of Mayors James D. Griffin and Anthony Masiello.
Ms. Mazzone has a unique understanding of the challenges facing business owners, whether they are moving into the region or expanding their operations. She also has a thorough knowledge of the collaborations required to assist companies with the public incentives available through our region's economic development entities.
Ms. Mazzone holds bachelor and master of science degrees from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. Her additional training and licensing include real estate brokerage, appraisal, assessment, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, NYSDHS/FEMA Incident Command, code enforcement, economic development and grant writing. She is also a Board of Trustee at Erie Community College and has been a board member of the City of Buffalo Parking Board since 2000.
