Ingebretsen of AlliedBarton Security gives educational presentation on how to be prepared for workplace violence

Glenn Ingebretsen of AlliedBarton Security Services gave a presentation on security in the face of violence on March 14. The event was well attended and an education for all.
The educational presentation was held at 68 South Service Rd. in the lower level theater. It discussed practical preparedness and how to be prepared for workplace violence in your facility. Understanding the warning signs. And how to develop a plan.
The objectives of the 2 hour program were:
* Create awareness of the need for a prevention program
* Identify warning signs for employees that might become violent
* How to respond in an active shooter-violent situation.
Topics discussed were:
* Prevention
* Warning Signs: recognizing employee behavior
* Threats v. plans
* Types of workplace violence, risk of escalation
* Criminal intent, customer/client, worker on worker, personal relationship, terrorism, hate crime.
