The Heller Organization, a full-service real estate firm, has named Nicholas Nakos, vice president of investment sales. In his new capacity, Nakos will be responsible for investment property sales, residential leasing and sales and new business development.
"Nick has established himself as a true innovator in the real estate industry with his remarkable expertise and thorough versatility," said Adam Heller, president of The Heller Org. "With a background in acquisitions, sales, leasing and development, he will be a tremendous asset to the company."
Prior to joining The Heller Org., Nakos served as director of acquisitions at Napco Holdings LLC, a boutique investment and development company based in Brooklyn, where he oversaw all property deals including the acquisition and redevelopment of a portfolio of multifamily properties from the city of New York's Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
In addition to regularly negotiating deals that exceed a thirty percent internal rate of return, Mr. Nakos secured a fifty percent return for a 33-unit property in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn, New York.
As Director of Corporate Services at Newmark Knight Frank, he managed a portfolio of the firm's largest corporate clients including BMG Columbia House, DoubleClick and Monster Worldwide.
Mr. Nakos holds a bachelor's degree in Government Studies from Hamilton College and a master's degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
