Langdon Title Agency is proud to spotlight Stephen Saler, Esq., the company's principal and co-founder. Bringing years of legal experience, Saler has a knowledge of the ever-changing real estate market and works to protect clients' real estate assets against future claims.
Prior to founding Langdon Title with Jonathan Heimowitz, Saler worked as an attorney at the international law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP. There, he represented acquirers, targets, buyout groups, investment banks and shareholder groups in complex domestic and international transactions. Saler was also involved in the Lehman Brothers and Washington Mutual bankruptcy filings, the two largest bankruptcy filings in U.S. history, and he served as an advisor for General Growth Properties, while the company filed for the largest real estate bankruptcy since 1980.
Since 2011, Saler has served as a guest lecturer at the Brooklyn Law School, teaching the practical and legal aspects of title insurance to the Real Estate Practice class. He is the author of "Title Companies Must Collect Sales Tax: How it Works, Are Attorneys Next?" published in the New York Law Journal. He is also a frequent presenter to commercial and residential lenders, funds and developers on a complete range of topics regarding title insurance.
