Eastern Consolidated hires Denham, promotes seven

According to Eastern Consolidated, Barbara Byrne Denham has joined the firm and Eric Anton, Ronald Solarz, Heidi Burkhart, David Schechtman, Esq., Paul Nigido, Gail Lewis and Tara Thomas have been promoted. Denham will serve as chief economist. With 14 years of experience, Denham will head Eastern's research operations, tracking economic trends in the five boroughs that will be compiled into quarterly reports on the investment sales market. She will also generate white papers, presentations and analyses for existing and potential clients. Anton was promoted to executive managing director from executive director. He has completed more than $3.5 billion of transactions. He has secured primary and mezzanine financing for his clients. Solarz was also promoted from executive director to executive managing director. His focus is on the disposition of asset classes ranging from development site assemblage to the sale of major office and apartment buildings, retail condominiums, hotels, occupied packages, and equity and debt placement. Formerly a director, Burkhart was promoted to senior director. Since joining Eastern in 2003, she has focused on the sale and acquisition of affordable housing complexes in addition to conventional investment sales. Schechtman was also promoted from director to senior director. He joined Eastern in 2005 and has focused on the sale of Manhattan development sites, commercial buildings and lots throughout the city and the five boroughs. Schechtman heads the firm's Turnaround and Distressed Group. Nigido was named senior financial analyst from financial analyst, and has over ten years of experience providing market analysis, risk assessment, portfolio monitoring asset/loan analysis, financial due diligence, and structure of cash-flow assumptions and projections. He develops commercial projects and coordinates the negotiation of equity and debt restructuring of office buildings. Lewis was promoted to marketing director from marketing manager. She is responsible for media planning and buying, events and sponsorships, and e-marketing initiatives. Thomas has been promoted to communications director. Since joining Eastern in 1999, she has focused on the creation, structuring, management, distribution and integration of data for all documents and is responsible for mapping and Web content maintenance.
