According to Industry City, the 40-acre industrial center of Bush Terminal along the Sunset Park waterfront, lighting designer and manufacturer Roll & Hill has signed a five-year lease for 12,000 s/f.
Launched in 2010 by CEO Jason Miller, and previously based in Greenpoint, Roll & Hill designs and manufactures high-end contemporary lighting for both residential and commercial applications. Fixtures include hanging chandeliers, table candelabras, and its signature Antler products. Also available are individual bulbs and candle sets.
"We're very excited to have Roll & Hill as a tenant," said Julius Chabbott, director of real estate at Industry City. "While our roots are in industrial space, we have been working to introduce Industry City to smaller high-end businesses, like Roll & Hill, that would appreciate and benefit from the space as well as its prime location."
In addition to a small showroom, Roll & Hill's Industry City location is also home to its executives' offices, as well as the creative design team. There is space for both assembly and storage of its lighting solutions within the 12,000 s/f, resulting in the bulk of its operations being done on-site.
"We're proud to be a Brooklyn-based business, which is why it made sense to stay in the area," said Miller. "Industry City offered us the right amount and type of space. From its waterfront setting to the large windows flowing throughout our space, the location perfectly complements our aesthetic and will surely be a source of inspiration for our team."
