January 14, 2013 - Brokerage
Albany-based, veteran-owned law firm Tully Rinckey PLLC has recently expanded into the area's legal market. The expansion comes as a result of the firm's continued success in the areas of civil litigation, family and matrimonial law, criminal defense, trusts and estates, and real estate law. Tully Rinckey PLLC opened its doors downtown on January 7. Tully Rinckey PLLC's local attorneys will initially practice criminal defense, bankruptcy law, and Social Security law. The firm will open its doors with two attorneys: Of counsel Paul Pochepan and associate Lori Hoffman. Pochepan brings two decades of Social Security disability and bankruptcy law experience.During the two decades before Pochepan joined Tully Rinckey PLLC, he served as an attorney at a major Buffalo law firm. Hoffman, a criminal defense attorney, has 11 years of criminal law experience-in a local firm, as a sole practitioner, and as an assistant public defender. "Our attorneys are experienced and dedicated. We pride ourselves on offering clients quality legal services at an affordable price," said Tully Rinckey PLLC managing partner Greg Rinckey. "We see a bright future in Buffalo and are looking forward to growing our business in Western New York." Tully Rinckey PLLC began after Mathew Tully escaped from the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. He moved from New York City and in 2004 he opened a law practice in Albany with his fellow ROTC cadet Rinckey, a former Army captain and Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) attorney. Tully currently serves as a lieutenant colonel in the New York Army National Guard, and in April 2012 he was deployed to Afghanistan - his third overseas deployment since founding the firm. Last year, Inc. magazine ranked Tully Rinckey PLLC No. 1,672 on its Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest Growing Companies. The firm's high ranking on the Inc. 5000 is attributable to its 173% growth in revenue between 2008 and 2011. The firm was also recognized by the Albany Business Review in 2012 as the third fastest growing business in New York's Capital Region. Tully Rinckey PLLC currently employs 45 attorneys, 18 percent of whom are veterans of the Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Navy or are currently serving in the Army and National Guard Reserve. "We have had our eye on Buffalo for several years. This is just the beginning of our firm becoming a major player in the Western New York legal market," said Mr. Rinckey. Tully Rinckey PLLC plans to hire additional attorneys and rapidly expand its menu of legal services in Buffalo. The firm plans to build a regional presence, providing legal counsel to Western New Yorkers based on its "Law for Life" business model. At its Niagara Street office, Tully Rinckey PLLC will offer free initial consultations for bankruptcy law, Social Security law, and criminal law matters. The firm will also offer free parking to clients visiting the office as well as free and secure online access to documents and other information related to their legal matters through its Client Extranet.
