Ziel Feldman, founder & managing principal of HFZ Capital Group, was honored by the American Friends of Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer at its 2012 Gala Benefit Dinner. Feldman received the Sheba Special Global Ambassador Award for his contribution and commitment to the organization. The dinner, held at 583 Park Ave., an event space in New York, was chaired by Helene Feldman, the organization's Board Chairman and wife of Ziel Feldman. The evening was attended by over 600 guests. "My family and I are passionate about Sheba Medical Center and the care it provides in Israel to people of all religions," said Feldman. "In these tenuous times, it is more vital than ever to have the all encompassing emotional and physical care provided by their dedicated personnel. It is I who am honored to support this forward thinking and dynamic institution." The Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer serves as Israel's national medical center. The Gala featured a fascinating conversation with architect Daniel Libeskind, Zeev Rothstein, CEO of Sheba Medical Center and Dr. David Samadi, medical reporter and Vice Chairman of the Department of Urology and Chief of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. A lively discussion ensued over the urgent need to expand the Center's care and facilities for patients suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The Gala served as the official launch of the campaign to fund the Sheba Institute for the Research and Treatment of PTSD, a building designed by Libeskind that will be conducive to the healing of emotional as well as physical disabilities and integrate research, technology and experience in the field of PTSD.
