Racanelli Construction Co. has appointed Jeffery Kopping as project manager. The construction industry veteran brings two and a half decades of experience to the role. His new responsibilities include ensuring successful project completion in accordance with budgetary and scheduling parameters, managing staff in the day-to-day construction operations, coordinating various trades and design professionals, overseeing the submittal process, and serving as a primary liaison with the company's construction team and its clients. Prior to joining Racanelli, Kopping served as the chief of operations at Eugene Racanelli Construction Co. Over the course of his career, Kopping has had oversight responsibilities for a wide range of high profile projects including: a $65 million, multi-phase campus renewal and restructuring project for Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre; a $40 million multi-phase, multi-faceted revitalization of an occupied historic office tower for General Electric in New York City; and a $12 million construction project on behalf of Hofstra University in Hempstead. Kopping began his career in construction as an assistant project manager and steadily rose through the ranks, gaining skills and experience in all aspect of the construction industry. His experience extends across diverse markets and project applications, from hospitals, hotels and office interiors to large-scale mechanical and electrical projects and heavy structural work. Kopping holds a bachelor of applied science degree in Civil Engineering from Roger Williams College in R.I.
