The Sutton Cos. has completed the sale of Midtown Plaza, a 68,000 s/f retail center.
The sales price was not disclosed.
Louis Fournier, president and Larry Socia, senior retail broker from Sutton negotiated the transaction between Dawn BV II, the seller and SRE-Midtown Acquisitions, LLC, the purchaser. Sutton Real Estate will continue to manage and lease the property for the new owner.
The project contains two floors of retail and office space including a Rite Aid Pharmacy, Joanne Fabric, The Green Planet Grocery, New York State Off Track Betting and Oswego County Opportunities.
The new ownership group is working with the city to identify ways to enhance the property and attract other potential uses for one of the busiest corners in the city.
"Sutton is excited to be involved with another project in the Oswego community" said Fournier. Sutton recently broke ground on the construction and rehabilitation of the former Seaway Supply Building which will become the Seaway Lofts Apartments scheduled to open in early 2013 and manages the Stevedore Building for another development group, Stevedore Lofts, LLC. Both the City and County of Oswego have been extremely supportive with our efforts on all these projects and we look forward to continuing to capitalize on this business friendly environment."
