SWBR Architects promotes Gibbons and Maddalina

According to SWBR Architects, Joe Gibbons, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, and Mark Maddalina, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, have been promoted.
Gibbons has been promoted to principal. In this senior level position, Gibbons joins the firm's six principals overseeing the firm's work across New York State and the Northeast. Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, president David Beinetti said, "Joe has proven to be an essential asset to our firm with his quality and client service mindset. He has served clients for years with innovation and passion for great design while meeting schedule and budget requirements at the same time." He has been with the firm for over 14 years serving in a range of capacities during that time. His practice areas are special needs housing, senior housing and affordable housing; he works with NYS HCR and numerous not-for-profit agencies across the Northeast.
Maddalina has been promoted to senior associate of the firm. In this senior level position, Maddalina joins the firm's other seven senior associates in filling key project management and design roles for the firm's work. Maddalina also serves as the firm's manager of sustainable design and in his new position will continue to oversee this work within the firm.
Beinetti, echoed the Board's accolades for Maddalina as a, "tireless promoter for smart sustainable design and a designer with incredible creative skills. He is an artist who brings projects to life with his creative energies." Maddalina has been with the firm for over six years and has a practice area focus on higher education. His work has been transformative on many campuses across New York State, creating high-performance and inspiring facilities.
