LICN holds commercial orientation/educational session
July 16, 2012 - Long Island
The Long Island Commercial Network (LICN) held another successful commercial orientation/educational session for Realtors at the LIBOR Woodbury Service Center on May 18 for those who wanted to learn or brush up on skills or better understand the issues involved in commercial transactions. They had a great turnout with 50 participates.
The welcome was provided by Bob Stark, president of LICN and Alan Hendrickson, past president, provided an LICN overview explaining the benefits of LICN membership and the goal of members to help one another professionally in whatever way possible. This is why this educational series was created to meet the LICN goal of providing professional support to its members and potential members of the commercial real estate community.
The following areas were covered: Commercial terminology was handled by Bradley Diamond, treasurer; retail properties by Paul Fetscher, CCIM; office properties by Harvey Kolin, CCIM; industrial properties by Ed Smith, CREI, GREEN; 1031 exchanges by Matt Scheriff, CPA and finally the LICN Website by Ira Zucker, vice president, LICN, GREEN.
The support does not end with the orientation. Attendees know they now have a link to members of LICN for support and assistance going forward. Membership of LICN is growing as the diligent commercial salesperson knows this is the place to be to learn, grow, become more professional and make money.
