Hundreds attend Long Island Real Estate and Business Renaissance
June 25, 2012 - Long Island
Hundreds gathered recently at the Huntington Hilton for the Long Island Real Estate and Business Renaissance. The day started early with a LICN breakfast meeting. The enthusiasm was evident from the unexpected large group of attendees that gathered to hear Dana Nowick of MLS products and marketing demonstrate some of the free apps available from MLS and Beth O'Connor, director of technical training for LIBOR demonstrated and discussed some of the various websites available for commercial listings to make a commercial agent more effective.
A discussion ensued about the various websites, focusing on the benefits and potential drawbacks of each. Sharing of "trade secrets" about the use of these sites to expand the reach of industry professionals and be more productive was a welcome part of the discussion. QR codes were explored, what are they and how to make the most of this wonderful new tool. This exchange of ideas and enthusiasm made this a meaningful experience.
After the meeting, members and guests went to the Exhibit Hall, scheduled seminars or the free continuing education course that was arranged. It was a great day for all who attended and LICN is proud to be one of the organization's who was instrumental in putting together this event.
