Poblocki joins Sierra

John Poblocki, whose more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience includes eight-plus years as vice president and senior regional vice president for Grubb & Ellis in New York, has joined the property management firm Sierra Real Estate, an affiliate of Lee & Associates NYC, Inc.
Poblocki, who was in charge of the Northeast and Southeast regions of Grubb, managed more than 50 million s/fof commercial assets and corporate facilities for institutional and private owners. He also served as senior vice president of property management at Cohen Brothers Realty and as senior vice president of real estate at a major life insurance company where he managed and redeveloped foreclosed commercial and apartment assets around the country.

During his tenure at G&E, Cohen, and as managing director at CBRE, Poblocki has accumulated an impressive list of management assignments including: the Sony Building on Madison Ave., 420 Fifth Ave. -the Girl Scout Building, 125 Broad St., 67 Broad St., 50 Broadway, The Scholastic Publishing Buildings on Broadway, 14 Wall St., 22 Cortland St., Moody's Investor Services corporate headquarters at 99 Church St., 55 East 59th St., 460 Park Ave., 125 Park Ave., 150 East 42nd St., 800 Second Ave. (Israeli Consulate), 475 Riverside Dr., The Paley Foundation Building at 1 East 53rd St. and The Riverside Church and Union Theological Seminary.
"I have been watching Sierra for a while and they have impressed me in their approach to management and the energy they seem to exude," Poblocki said. Poblocki earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts and a master's degree in city planning from the University of Rhode Island.
Sierra Real Estate, an affiliate of Lee NYC, provides services in Property Management, Investment & Acquisitions and Construction Services and includes a real estate portfolio of 45 buildings, 2,000 residential units and approximately 600,000 square feet of New York City office and retail space. Additionally, SRE manages more than 50 residential and commercial properties, and has ownership interests in over 20 properties.
