College: I attended Avon Old Farms School, a prep school in Conn. before going to The University of Scranton. While at Scranton, I was on the NCAA Men's Varsity Ice Hockey team. First job outside of real estate: My aunt and uncle, who both work for Turner Construction, helped get me an internship while still in school. This was my first exposure to construction. I then worked for Vanguard Coverage as a surety bond underwriter. First job in real estate or allied field: I was hired by Sam Giarrusso at M&T Bank and worked in the commercial real estate group. Sam and I later left the bank to form G-Russ. What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? Largo serves as a correspondent for over 14 life companies, pension funds, and agencies. We originate, underwrite, and service these commercial mortgages. As of now, Largo has originated over $15 billion in mortgages since its inception and currently has a $1 billion servicing portfolio. We are currently considering a fund startup, the details of which, remain confidential for the time being.
