Carlisle SynTec, the leading manufacturer of commercial roofing systems, recently introduced DryLight - a skylight with fully encapsulated glazing that is designed to provide both enhanced energy savings and extended warranty coverage when installed on commercial buildings.
Because of DryLight's superior performance features, Carlisle is offering the only total-system warranty in the industry that will cover any incident of leakage in the skylight, the curb and the installation for up to 20 years.
This unique encapsulation technology provides DryLight with a durable bond between the frame and the dome, reducing the leakage typically associated with traditional skylights. The thermoplastic retainer frame is also non-conductive, and provides a thermal efficiency that is greater than that of metal-framed skylights.
When used in conjunction with photo-sensor or light-dimming controls, DryLight can provide significant energy savings by reducing the use of electrical lighting, reducing peak electrical loads and minimizing overall operating costs. Studies have also shown that daylighting increases productivity in the workplace, stimulates sales in a retail environment, and enhances student performance in schools.
DryLight is available in curb and curb-mountable designs that can incorporate Carlisle membrane flashing, ensuring a watertight installation and reducing both time and labor costs.
Carlisle SynTec has been investing in single-ply membrane roofing systems for more than 45 years. Carlisle is a business segment of Carlisle Construction Materials and has manufacturing facilities in Carlisle, Penn.; Greenville, Illinois; Senatobia, Mississippi; and Tooele, Utah.
