Savanna has signed a 4,380 s/f lease renewal at 80 Broad St. Gwertzman, Lefkowitz & Burman renewed its lease, occupying 4,380 rentable s/f on a portion of the 16th floor for a six-year term. Gwertzman, Lefkowitz & Burman specializes in insurance related legal matters, often representing insurance companies. Todd Korren of Savanna represented the landlord while Robert Goodman of Colliers International represented the tenant.
80 Broad St. is a 36-story, 417,000 s/f multi-tenant office building located between Stone and Beaver Sts. in Manhattan's Financial District. Savanna acquired 80 Broad St. in September of 2011 and immediately took the building off the market to implement a major capital improvement program, which includes a $19 million investment in building improvements and renovations to tenant spaces.
Savanna's capital improvement plan also includes comprehensive building upgrades with fully modernized elevators, a renovated lobby with enhanced lighting and restored stone detailing, refurbished common area bathrooms, and new common corridors.
80 Broad St. was placed back on the market earlier this year with approximately 150,000 s/f of high quality office space available. The building offers seven newly completed prebuilt office suites totaling 25,545 s/f on the 12th, 13th, 24th and 25th floors. The prebuilt suites range from 2,185 to 5,790 s/f.
