Name: Mindy Wolfle Title: Director of Marketing Company: Armao, Costa & Ricciardi, CPAs, P.C. Location: Garden City, NY (with offices in NYC and Greenwich, Conn.) Place of birth: Brooklyn, NY Family: Husband, Paul Wolfle College: Nassau Community College, SUNY Albany, Adelphi University, CUNY Queens First job unrelated to your current field: Salesperson in the Housewares Dept. of Sears in Hicksville, NY during high school and while I attended Nassau Community College. First job in current field: Marketing Director at Marcum & Kliegman. What your firm does now and its plans for the future? Armao, Costa & Ricciardi, CPAs, P.C. provides auditing, tax and financial services to labor unions, employee benefit plans, the construction industry, not-for-profit organizations, real estate owners, agents, brokers, developers and investors, professional service firms, family owned and closely held businesses, and high net-worth individuals. The firm's plan for the future is to grow organically and to continue maintaining a collaborative work environment, one in which each employee is treated equitably and with professionalism, with the opportunity to advance in his/her career. The firm will continue its strong focus on relationship building, strategic marketing and supporting the communities in which we live and work through philanthropic activities. Hobbies: Crosswords puzzles, Sudoku, Boggle online, writing, and communing with friends over a good meal. Favorite novel: Impossible to narrow it down, so I have to go with three by Dominick Dunne - The Two Mrs. Grenvilles, People like Us, and An Inconvenient Woman. Favorite film: Again, this is a nearly impossible task, as I am a devotee of old movies. But if I have to pick one, it is Laura, the 1944 film noir starring Gene Tierney, Dana Andrews and Clifton Webb. The theme music is captivating. Keys to success: Sense of humor; quick wit; caring about others, especially those with needs greater than your own; making connections for friends and colleagues; strategic thinking; creativity; willingness to stick to your principles without shooting yourself in the foot. Person(s) you most admire (outside of family): The do-gooders of the world If you had to choose a different profession, what would it be? I recently started teaching a course on business writing for non-writers in Hofstra University's Continuing Education program. I just love it. I think I missed my calling as a teacher of adults. They are great students based on a strong desire to learn.
