In a transaction arranged by Savitt Partners, Gusy Van der Zandt LLP has committed to a 2,800 s/f lease at 261 Madison Ave. Currently located in 1,400 s/f at 500 Fifth Ave., the transaction will enable the law firm to double its size.
Elliot Zelinger of Savitt represented Gusy Van der Zandt in the 10-year lease transaction. Myles Fennon, Robert Gallucci, Alan Wildes and Bruce Mosler of Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) represented the building ownership.
"Gusy Van der Zandt is currently subleasing space and wanted a direct lease," said Zelinger, who added that the firm was also looking for additional space for its growing business practice. "The Sapir Organization invested in a modern, upgraded lobby at 261 Madison Ave., while the space itself features an efficient layout and an abundance of natural light, all of which attracted the tenant to the property."
