Carlton Group hires Moss to run Residential Strategic Advisory Group

The Carlton Group has hired William Moss, an acknowledged residential investment-banking expert, according to Carlton chairman Howard Michaels. Moss spent the last 16 years holding senior positions at Blackrock, Deutsche Bank, UBS Investment Bank, Credit Suisse, and GE Capital Mortgage Services. Moss has joined Carlton as managing director and will be responsible for Carlton's newly formed Residential Strategic Advisory Group and co-head of Carlton's Loan Sale Advisory Group. At Carlton, Moss' responsibilities include representing financial institutions and investment banks in the valuation, asset management, and strategic advisory of residential loan and REO portfolios. In addition, Moss will also create customized residential disposition strategies, which may include bulk sale strategies. Moss is an expert in the residential trading business and is a strategist with organizational, valuation and marketing skills. Historically, Moss has been responsible for hedging, pricing, trading residential assets and has had control over residential positions ranging from $100 to $3 billion on a monthly basis. Most recently, Moss was managing director/portfolio manager for BlackRock's Financial Markets Advisory Group. In this role, he was responsible for all whole loan valuations, portfolio strategies, and portfolio dispositions.
