On Tuesday, November 29th, nearly 300 real estate professionals gathered at The Carlton Hotel for the Baruch College Real Estate Alumni Club's 2011 Holiday Gala. Dr. Sam Chandan, a world renowned economist was the guest of honor and the keynote speaker. The event, which drew a mix of Baruch College alumni working in the real estate industry, and other industry professionals, was aimed at raising awareness for the Baruch College Real Estate Alumni Club, whose activities include networking events, industry roundtable discussions, and fundraising functions for future Baruch students focusing on Real Estate. Joe Berko, the club's president and founder stated, "It's fantastic to see how the real estate department at Baruch has impacted the industry. Our fellow alumni are sitting in key positions in some of the most respected firms in New York. BCREAC was designed to organize and maintain an alumni community that can exchange ideas and business cards, but also give back to the Real Estate department at Baruch by supporting the next generation of real estate professionals."
The Alumni Club's core leadership has already begun gearing up for its next event in February, a panel discussion with some of the industry's most influential executives. Eddy Antar, the Club's Vice President noted, "I've received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from the club's events. Our rapid growth is a testament to Baruch's positive influence on its alumni."
