GSH awarded energy contract with Bergman

February 27, 2012 - Green Buildings
GSH Group, Inc. will be providing its energy management services to Bergman Real Estate Group's Jefferson Plaza properties located at 100 and 110 South Jefferson Rd. As part of its energy management services contract, GSH developed a 3D building simulation model and utility analysis to determine the most cost-effective methods for enhancing efficiency at Jefferson Plaza. GSH is undertaking several projects in the facilities including mechanical upgrades and the installation of a Trend building automation system. Additionally, GSH will perform ongoing monitoring and adjustments in the properties to ensure continued efficiency after project installation. All projects are carried out by GSH's in-house mechanical team and the ongoing service is provided through the GSH energy team. GSH also provides energy management services to Bergman Real Estate Group's Woodbridge Towers at 555 Route One South in Iselin. GSH has been delivering its program to Woodbridge Towers since 2008 and has improved energy efficiency by 30% in the 85,000 square-foot facility. The building received the EPA's Energy Star label and was honored at BOMA New Jersey's energy awards in 2010. Steven Bergman, VP & COO of Bergman Real Estate Group said, "Because of the tremendous success GSH achieved reducing energy consumption in our Woodbridge Towers property, we have decided to roll out their energy program at our Jefferson Plaza office complex. We have confidence in GSH's energy program and believe they will achieve similar results with these two buildings." Jefferson Plaza is a class A office building comprised of two three-story facilities totaling 172,000 s/f. The complex is located in the Whippany section of Hanover Township in Morris County.
