Jayson Siano, managing principal of Sabre Real Estate Group LLC, has been recognized by Long Island Business News (LIBN) as a member of its 2012 class of 40 Under 40 business leaders.
Siano and this year's other winners were honored at a dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
LIBN's list, published each year since 1998, recognizes 40 go-getters under the age of 40 in the Long Island business community as the region's best and brightest.
"These future leaders of Long Island have already begun to distinguish themselves in business, government, education and the not for profit sector,' the publication said. "They have a proven track record of career success, are involved in mentoring and promoting their profession and find time to give back to their communities."
"I am proud to have received this recognition," Siano said. "I've worked diligently at my career since I first entered the real estate business and I fully intend to keep working as hard in the future."
During his decade in the business, Siano has been a prolific deal maker and has brought numerous national chains to Long Island, including Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panda Express, Massage Envy, European Wax Center, OrangeTheory Fitness and Play N Trade. Also, he helped Starbucks Coffee Co. find more than 50 locations across Long Island and co-founded a now 1,000-member real estate networking organization, The Retail Network.
Now, as head of Sabre, he is building a new retail real estate firm with 15 employees, including a dozen brokers - so far.
Siano also is active in philanthropy, carrying on his efforts through his activities in The Retail Network of which he is a board member. In 2011, The Retail Network established a charitable partnership with the New York City Clothing Bank and Siano has volunteered at the organization's warehouse.
